India Trade Promotion Organisation is organizing the 30th edition of its popular annual event, the India International Trade Fair, in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from November 14 to 27, 2010.
IITF Offers to participants from different segments of industry adequate visibility for their products and services among fair visitors with demarcated halls representing different sectors. Through its Special Display sections of techmart, represnting products and technologies of small and medium enterprises, Saras, Highlighting tribal and rural handicrafts, and Good Living, with focus on products and goods relevant to daily living, the fair ensures a distinct visibility for generic product categories. These represent engineering, software and hardware, automobiles, electronics, telecom, leather, textiles, handicrafts, jewellery, furniture and furnishings besides a wide range of consumer goods.
Traditionally, IITF has been a multi-product, multi-sectoral fair providing excellent business opportunities for a wide range of products and services in diverse areas. It is an ideal platform for businessmen from all over the world for exchanging notes, finalizing export and import orders, exploring joint venture and technology transfer opportunities, launching new products and test marketing of the same. The range and scale of participation at this fair makes it the biggest multi-product exposition in this Region. The profile of the fair covers India’s achievements in IT & telecommunications, processed foods, agricultural products, infrastructure and services, environment, health, tourism and SMEs and other sectors of trade and industry.
The fair presents an ideal forum to project the growth and progress achieved by Indian economy across diverse sectors and in the process promoting commercial interactions over a wide scale.
This year at least 23 countries including China, Japan, Korea and several western and eastern countries will showcase their products in the fortnight long trade fair.
Entry to the fair will be open exclusively for Business and trade visitors during the first five days. However, the fair will be thrown open for general public from November 19. Japan and Uganda are participating for the first time.
Indian business firms, states and public sector undertakings usually draw a huge crowd every year. But China is likely to emerge one of the major attractions due to cheap products at display.
This year, Bollywood is coming in a big way, screening some hit films besides the fair would witness renowned artistes perform Gazals and Qawwali to entertain the visitors.
